Eugenio Leon is native to Paraguay, South America. Since the age of 8 he started on playing the “Paraguayan Harp”, national instrument to Paraguay.
Eugenio developed a passionate and free spirited style when it comes to perform or to describe the characteristic of the songs he creates today.

Living in Grand Cayman Island since 1990, performing not only at “The Wharf Restaurant”(the original working place for 16 years), now Eugenio Leon expanded his performances places including all the major Hotels, Restaurants and Special Events Planners Companies in and out of The Cayman Islands giving him the chance and honor to play for celebrities like : Pele (Sport ambassador and world renowned Soccer player),Eros Ramazzotti (great contemporary Italian singer), Alexandra Paul (movie and TV star) Sean Connery(the famous 007 movie star).

CAPABILITIES
*Unlike many other musicians I provide music of an authentic nature and with non-electrified sound, I am free to move amongst tables (if necessary) where I can offer to customers (diners) “table-side serenades” of a more personalized and intimate nature or simply place a wireless microphone inside the harp and play amplified for groups over sixty people.
*One of the most important aspects of my ability to perform is the easy with which I create relationships to bare on your results, and so assist in the meeting of targets on a consistent basis.
*I can adapt easily to new environments, I have extensive music repertoire and an experience on which to draw, I am comfortable with hard work in demanding situations. I can respond quickly and consider myself extremely flexible.
*On any trip I take, I promote as much as I can my working place, inviting guests and friends to visit Us and enjoy the hospitality of our business and people in general.
ABOUT THE PARAGUAYAN HARP
The Paraguayan Harp, National Instrument to Paraguay, South America, is one of the few instruments which successfully integrates the sounds and rhythms of Latin America with Classical and Contemporary music.
Between the years 1500 and 1600, the Jesuits (Spanish Missionaries), introduced some of the musical instruments to the Natives of South America including guitar, violin, flute and harp with which were easy the evangelization as the natives learn how to play and eventually to make on they own way with materials available by nature on the area.
A hand carved wood (as sound box) and animal guts (as strings), were the basic of the first harp ever build in South America and when the nylon string were popular in the world, the Paraguayan Harp by then with a different shape, adopted as a better quality string and stay with it up today.
Today Paraguayan Harp seems to be the combination of an Acoustic Spanish Guitar and a Classical Harp that is commonly made out of Cider and Pine top and one hundred percent Nylon strings (37)
